Thank you for coming to Shanghaiof the universe’s matter.
Now researchers are building enormous detectors to find out if neutrinos could help solve the mystery of the universe’s matter. The Hyper-Kamiokande experiment in Hida City, Japan, and the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment in Lead, S.D., will study neutrinos and their antimatter counterparts, antineutrinos. A difference in neutrinos’ and antineutrinos’ behavior might hint at the origins of the matter-antimatter imbalance, scientists suspect.
Matter is common in the cosmos. Everything around us — from planets to stars to puppies — is made up of matter. But matter has a flip side: antimatter. Protons, electrons and other particles all have antimatter counterparts: antiprotons, positrons, etc. Yet for some reason antimatter is much rarer than matter — and no one knows why.
Physicists believe the universe was born with equal amounts of matter and antimatter. Since matter and antimatter counterparts annihilate on contact, that suggests the universe should have ended up with nothing but energy. Something must have tipped the balance.Source: People's Daily
520, love Shanghai! Thank you for coming to Shanghai | Shanghai War Epidemic · Ordinary Light
In a short day, we bought 300 boxes of instant noodles, 300 ham sausages, and carried four large buckets filled with boiling water to the outside of Hongqiao Railway Station. There are a large number of stranded people who are about to leave Shanghai.
In the rain last night, on the special day of 520, we brewed these 300 boxes of instant noodles on the spot and gave them to the stranded one by one. Although many of the stranded people are tired, helpless and even a little sad, we still want to say to everyone who is about to leave Shanghai: Thank you for coming to Shanghai!
A
There are a large number of stranded people outside Hongqiao Railway Station. I learned this information from Sun Zhongqin, an excellent photojournalist and colleague.
On the night of the 17th, he set out from the newspaper office on Weihai Road and rode a shared bicycle all the way to the outside of Hongqiao Railway Station. That night, the video shot by Sun Zhongqin became a hot item on the short video platform.
After watching this video, I was shocked and quickly learned the details. It turned out that the epidemic in Shanghai was banned for two months, and many trapped people were eager to return home. After they left the community, they tried to move to Hongqiao Railway Station.
Arriving at the railway station, these people experienced a long journey. Shanghai's public transport is not open yet. You can either walk or ride a shared bike. Therefore, some people ride bicycles from the port to the railway station. Someone walked from Yangpu to Hongqiao.
However, arriving at the railway station is only the first step. Due to the limited number of trains leaving Shanghai every day and the closed loop management of the railway station, no one can enter without a ticket. Therefore, many people have fallen into the dilemma of grabbing tickets again. If you can't get the ticket, you can only sleep outside the station. It is said that there are many people who sleep out for more than a week.
What's more, Sun Zhongqin said that there was no place to buy water or food outside the station. That's why the box lunch sent by the kind person from other places in his video is so popular. Unfortunately, there were more than 300 stranded people at the scene, and the kind-hearted people could only send 40 or 50 boxed meals. The kind-hearted people said, "Do your best to help as much as you can." But I thought about what to do with the rest of the stranded people
The first thing I thought of was to send boxed lunch.
Because it is for the stranded, I also calculated the dishes. At least three dishes. The big meat is ribs or big meat, the small meat is shredded pork with green pepper or pickled vegetables, and the vegetable is green vegetables. There should be more rice, so it should be a box of rice and a box of vegetables, and the vegetables should be salty. Considering the inconvenience of transportation, soup can be dispensed with, but a small bottle of mineral water should be attached.
I took this menu and called all the restaurant practitioners I knew, and then I knew I was thinking too much. Many restaurant staff are not in place. When it officially opened, there was no spare power at all. A boss told me that according to my standard, he can only serve 50 guests at most!
I also thought about sending bread and mineral water. However, Sun Zhongqin said that the scene was relatively cold and it often rained, so it was better to let the stranded people eat hot food.
Then, can we send instant noodles?
I called Zhang Guoliang, the national model worker, and he also agreed to send instant noodles. Moreover, "there should be hot water to brew at the scene, so that the detainee can eat hot food!"
Zhang Guoliang said that it is suggested to set the activity time on May 20. First, this day is special. Second, the weather forecast is that it will rain that night. Third, he happened to be out of the community to dispense medicine on the same day. You can join us!
What else can I say? Come on.
C
I started a crazy phone call.
Instant noodles and ham sausages are easy to find. But I have a requirement that it cannot be near the expiration date. Finally, it was booked at a supermarket in Pudong.
The car is not very easy to find, but it is not troublesome. Sun Zhongqin was going to the scene for an interview, so we can take the interview car. If you want to send instant noodles and hot water from Pudong to Puxi, you need to find a vehicle with a permit. I called several friends. Finally, Mr. Chen Liang of Chuansha readily provided an Iveco with its seat removed and sent the driver.
The most difficult thing is hot water. My initial idea was to collect 20 thermos bottles and bring them to the scene. After using the hot water, go to the nearby place to receive the hot water, and go back and forth. So I asked Jin Zhigang, a senior reporter of the Evening News, to help coordinate the possibility of "borrowing water" from Hongqiao Railway Station. The staff of Hongqiao Railway Station are very enthusiastic and willing to help. Only during the epidemic, the railway station is under closed loop management, which is inconvenient for access.
Then, I looked for the "water borrowing point" at the 10-minute drive around Hongqiao Railway Station. The owner of a maintenance shop is willing to help, but people cannot leave the community. Another gas station is willing to help, but it is not able to provide enough hot water.
Finally, I think that many companies often have open buckets. If you can, just open the bucket and fill it with hot water and transport it to us. Once the train of thought is opened, the problem is easy to solve. After a few phone calls, I borrowed four open buckets. Two 35 litres and two 40 litres. Two 40-litre buckets were provided by Mr. Hua Hui of Chuansha. In addition, Xiaohua also helps to boil water and fill buckets in its own enterprises.
Hua Hui, the post-90s generation who helped deliver vegetables at no charge when I bought 3000 kg of vegetables last time and sent them to 9 nursing homes.
D
Everything is ready.
520 At 4:30 p.m. that day, several of us who could go out gathered at the place where the stranded people gathered at Hongqiao Railway Station. After setting up a small table and putting out the garbage bags, we simply divided the work——
Xiaohua is responsible for unpacking instant noodles and coordinating the hot water schedule;
Mr. Chen Liang's driver is responsible for brewing;
I am responsible for cutting the outer package of ham sausage and distributing instant noodles according to the head;
Zhang Guoliang, Sun Zhongqin and the enthusiastic evening newspaper, Master Zhang, worked together to maintain order at the scene and avoid people gathering
We make an appointment. Unless the other party is willing, don't ask where the stranded people are, don't ask them "whether they return", and don't ask them "how to get to the railway station". If you can, say one word to everyone: thank you for coming to Shanghai!
Tell me about some unforgettable scenes.
Someone unpacked the instant noodles and dried them in his mouth. When we reminded him that there was hot water, a piece of bread had already been eaten. He, middle-aged, should be a man with stories.
Someone asked: I'm not hungry. Can I have a glass of water? We quickly handed over a bottle of mineral water, and he fumbled for a few pills and poured them down.
Someone said that when the child is reading under the tree, I will soak two bowls of noodles and take them with me?
Someone was outside the barbed wire on the opposite side of the road and couldn't walk over. We quickly helped him make a bowl and sent it to him.
Someone said, I don't want ham sausage. I want to eat two bowls of noodles, one is spicy and the other is not spicy. OK?
A young man from Xi'an, wearing a red volunteer suit, helped pick up the garbage on the ground. We helped him to make a bowl of noodles. He took a deep sip of soup and said, "This is the first hot soup I have drunk here for eight days and eight nights. Before, I used mineral water to make noodles."
When I wrote these stories, I tried to hold back tears.
E
Of course, more is "thank you".
In fact, I feel a little uncomfortable when I hear so many "thank you". Two months after the epidemic, the lives of ordinary people in Shanghai have been shared by everyone, let alone those who are stranded? A bowl of hot noodles can't make up for one in ten thousand.
A little sister from Hunan said that Shanghai was very good, but for the epidemic... she choked.
What makes me feel very, very, very happy is that during the period of our instant noodles, a restaurant owner from Baoshan also came to the scene to distribute free boxed lunch. When asked, the boss, surnamed Niu, also saw the popular video of Sun Zhongqin and thought that four or fifty boxed meals were not enough.
Boss Niu, you can handle it! 300 lunch boxes at noon and 300 lunch boxes at night. He also said that we should call on our peers to do this together, "which can make people who leave Shanghai feel the last bit of warmth".
Boss Niu, I salute you!
Back to our "instant noodle stand". 300 boxes of instant noodles, not much to say, took more than two hours to distribute. By the end of the last few boxes of instant noodles, four buckets of hot water were almost used up. So the rest of the stranded people "balanced" each other to ensure that everyone had a little hot water in their bowl of instant noodles
After we sent out all the instant noodles and all the mineral water in the car, there were still those who were stranded and asked: Can you give me a ham sausage?
F
Someone asked, which department are you from?
We answered that we are ordinary citizens of Shanghai.
So the man said something. Although he spoke with restraint, we were embarrassed to hear him. In the past two months, everyone has experienced an unspeakable period of time.
On the way back, Sun Zhongqin said, "I don't know if tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, these stranded people can eat a bowl of hot instant noodles!"!
This sentence touched me and I wrote this article in a hurry.
I don't know how many stranded people were caught in the rain and frozen outside the Hongqiao Railway Station on the special rainy night of 520.
I don't know how many ordinary people are suffering from the epidemic in some corner of Shanghai.
I hope that more people can help the stranded and those who have encountered difficulties in the Shanghai epidemic. As Zhang Guoliang told me——
Can you help me.
Can you help me.
Personal power is very limited. But after experiencing "sending vegetables" and "sending instant noodles", I know that Shanghai is never cold. Everyone can send out a little heat to drive out the cold winter.
520, love Shanghai!
